Where does Ecoslay come from?

Ecoslay comes from the US and was founded in 2015 by Adria Marshall. Her goal is to make people more aware of cosmetics.

And another fun fact? There are no large warehouses or factories. Everything is handmade in-house, in accordance with cosmetic guidelines and regulations, of course.

What are the best products?

Ecoslay's most popular products include Orange Marmalade Gel. This gel gives your curls a natural hold without synthetic hold agents. To apply a gel or cream, you can use Rice Pudding Leave-in. This is a light leave-in conditioner that provides your curls with optimal nourishment.

Not all products can be stored in the cupboard. Some need to be kept refrigerated. Always check the label to see if your product needs to be stored in the refrigerator for long-term shelf life.

What curl type are these products for?

The products are specially developed for curly hair and are suitable for all types of curls and textures. The hair products are not specifically aimed at a particular curl type. Most products are light and therefore also suitable for type 2 curls (type 2 curls tend to be wavy and slightly curly).

Always check the ingredients of the product if you are unsure whether it is too heavy for your hair. Do you see butters or oils in the first five ingredients? Then it may be too heavy for your hair. To be on the safe side, purchase a mini version first to test the product.

What ingredients are used?

All Ecoslay products are made from 100% natural ingredients. They follow the ‘natural first’ philosophy. This means that for each formula, the very best natural ingredients are sought out first to achieve optimal results. Okra and hemlock root, for example, are top ingredients for preventing tangles in your hair and also make your hair easier to comb.

Sometimes a natural ingredient cannot match certain synthetic ingredients. In that case, plant-based ingredients are used that are composed on a natural basis. They do everything they can to ensure the safety and effectiveness of the product.

Ecoslay and the CG method

Since all Ecoslay hair products are free from silicones, sulfates, and parabens, all hair products are also CG approved and can therefore be used within the Curly Girl Method.

How long can you use Ecoslay products?

Most products can be used for about 9 months. Always check the label of the product you have at home, as this will often indicate how long you can keep it.
