What is Denman?

The Denman story began in 1938 with John Denman Dean. During his stay in New York, he was introduced to nylon, a revolutionary new material. He immediately saw the potential for using it in the bristles of his recently patented rubber-pad hairbrushes. In 1946, after years of research, he founded the Denman brand. It quickly became known and accepted by hairdressers as a professional product. As the years progressed, the range expanded to include more and more brushes and tools for every type of curl.
